Boyko Irina

I’m Professor of Economics at Saint-Petersburg University for Economy and Social Sciences, Director of the Center for Regional and Innovation Policy and an expert for the “Open Economy” and “Innovation, Investments and Industry”. At the moment I’m a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Chicago and suppose to lecture two courses “Economic Growth: Historical and Contemporary Approaches” and “Socialism and Post-Socialist Economic policy” during the winter term.

The area of my professional study is the national innovation development with the peculiar role of the regions. I have been investigating intensively into the “new economy” methodology which has been performing the new mainstream in the field of economic knowledge. I have published 3 monographs and a number of articles for the issue and have been presenting the papers on the various national and international conferences and workshops (Denmark, Belgium, US, Latvia and in the other countries).
