Marijeta Bozovic just graduated this June, from Harvard University, where she majored in History and Literature, Russian Field. Her undergraduate thesis was on Joseph Brodsky. She's now starting as a graduate student at Columbia University, in their Department of Slavic Languages and Literature, but she deferred her first year to accept the Fulbright.
In Moscow, Marijeta hopes to take classes (primarily in twentieth century poetry and literature) at RGGU, to read as much as she can, to write, and to wander around with a slightly lost expression on her face.
Prior to college and a life on the East Coast, Marijeta grew up in California. She was born, however, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia; the latter may explain an interest in slavs and nostalgia.
