Kathleen Braden

I am a Professor of Geography at Seattle Pacific University and affiliate faculty at University of Washington. I will be teaching a course on Ecotourism at the Geography Department of Altaiskiy University in Barnaul, West Siberia. I was one of the founding Board members of the International Snow Leopard Trust and have worked to pursue geographic research on resources and the environment of Russia and Central Asia. My publications include the books, The Disappearing Russian Forest and Engaging Geopolitics. I often pursue advocacy work for endangered alpine species in Russia with my husband, Evgeniy Koshkarev, who is a wildlife biologist.
