Erdem Dugarov

My name is Erdem Dugarov. I live in Ulan-Ude and employed as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) instructor at Eastern Siberia State Technological University.
The application of new technologies to the teaching process is one of my interests. Wireless technologies and the Internet has expanded the classroom beyond the school walls and made it possible to involve the students in learning environment at anytime and anywhere.
Thanks to the FFDP program I had a unique chance to stay in the USA and be affiliated with the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) of Georgetown University, Washington DC. The facilities, communication opportunities contributed significantly to accomplishment of my project.
I worked on Online American Studies Activities (OASA). It features online activities based on authentic files like VOA Special English. The activities offer an interdisciplinary set of study areas that deals with history, geography, government, elections, mass media, economy, social security, population, education, culture, religion, American Indians, and women in the US history.
