Elizabeth Kruger

Starting in September, I will be studying contemporary Siberian folk theatre in Irkutsk, Russia, which is just above Mongolia, near Lake Baikal. As part of my studies, I will attend the Irkutsk State Technical University and take courses in Siberian history, culture, theatre, and folk art.

I recently graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in Russian, but also studied theatre extensively. While in college, I had the opportunity to study in Moscow and serve as an intern at the Pushkin Dramatic Theatre, which allowed me to combine my interest in Russian and theatre. I am excited about continueing my studies of theatre and the Russian language and culture over the next year in Irkutsk.
