Scientific projects: I am currently working on two projects in the area of family issues. First, I am conducting cross-national comparative research on experts’ activities in the sphere of responding to family violence in the USA and Russia. This research compares patterns of effective institutional activity. Second, I am researching factors that cause family violence in Russia.

Major interests: psychology and sociology of family issues; family violence; sociology of deviant behavior; psychotherapies and psychological consulting; gender studies; women and men studies.

Teaching: Psychology of family; Psychology of family violence; Psychological consulting; Sociology; Psychological stress.

Recent honors:
Research at the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (Washington D.C., USA, 2003).
Participation in the 2002 Open World Program sponsored by The Center for Russian Leadership Development at the Library of Congress, US Consulate in Moscow and American Councils for International Education with the subject: «Women as Leaders» (USA, 2002).
VI International Summer School on Sociology: “Society in Transition: Social Issues in Sociological Focus” (Krym, Ukraine, 2002).
Participation as a site collaborator for Far-East Russia/Vladivostok within the cross-cultural scientific investigation of sex differences in sexual jealousy from an evolutionary psychology perspective. The director is Dr. Martin Voracek (Vladivostok, 2001).
