David Marcovitz

In 2006-2007, I will be doing public health work and research in the city of Pskov near the Estonian border. Since 2004, I have been at Princeton University in the department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. I wrote my senior thesis on Mikhail Bulgakov and the effects of censorship on his work. I am hoping to enroll in medical school in fall of 2008.
I'm from the Philadelphia suburbs originally, and I like to play table tennis with the Russian and Ukrainian immigrants in the Northeast. Their antics caused me to take Russian language as a freshman, which led me to St. Petersburg during two summers as an underclassmen. And the adventure continues...
