My candidate and doctorate theses deal with development and research of statistical procedures for the analysis of experimental situations with heterogeneous data (evaluation of blocking and splitting effects, randomization analysis). These situations are typical for biotechnology, ecology, education, psychology and other social sciences.
During last five years I have won grants of Open Society Institute, Russia Ministry of Education, Center of Testing of Russia Ministry of Education, and Administration of Krasnodar Territory.
My home institution is Kursk State University (Professor of Computer Science Department); the host institution is University of Illinois, Chicago; curator Dr. George Karabatsos.
I am a Scientific supervisor of the annual All-Russia conferences "Educational Innovations and Technologies Efficiency Estimation". In June 2003 in Slaviansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Territory The Fifth All-Russia scientific-practical conference "Educational Innovations and Technologies Efficiency Estimation" was held.
Scientific interests are in the areas: Rasch measurement of latent variables; design and analysis of experiment and surveys in education, pedagogics, psychology, sociology, ecology etc.; statistical analysis of the heterogeneous data; multivariate experiment.
The author of more than 200 published works including four books: Randomization and Statistical Inference (1986), Computer Systems for Biotechnological Investigations (1993), Fundamentals of Design and Analysis of Experiment in Education and Psychology (1998), Experiment in Education as a Tool for Increasing its Efficiency - Multivariate approach (2001).
