Vadim Prozorov is a lecturer in the Department of History at the Moscow (Lomonosov) State University. His courses are devoted to various aspects of Balkan history in the Middle Ages and Early Modern period. His research focuses on Church history, medieval law, especially its usage by the Church and the interaction of medieval juridical concepts and exegesis. In addition he studies Christian visions and understandings of the “last things”, i.e. eschatology, in the Middle Ages. His project under the auspices of the Fulbright Program deals with the interrelation of juridical views and exegesis of Pope Gregory the Great (590 – 604), one of the Church fathers.
