Moldova-born Vlada Teper is a graduate student from Stanford University (June 2002). She has a BA in English and Russian literature and a masters in English. She has also completed an honors thesis titled "World Literature Curricula: Foreign Text Selection in Moscow and Bay Area High Schools" which has received a Robert M.Golden medal. The same intense interest that motivated her thesis has brought Vlada to Russia for the 2002-2003 academic year. Hoping to learn how Russian high school students respond to their literature classes, Vlada also looks forward to taking more foreign literature classes, Russian university style and learning more about the way Russian curriculum developers tackle today's secondary school literature curriculum issues. Vlada will work with Moscow Pedagogical Institute for Humanities.
