Larry Sokoloff is an adjunct professor at San Jose State University in California, where he teaches in the Political Science Department and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He has also taught at Santa Clara University and California State University, East Bay. He teaches media law and critical thinking classes.
Mr. Sokoloff is an attorney and freelance journalist, and has worked as a newspaper reporter in California and Washington, D.C. He is also a mediator. His articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, and the Arizona Republic.
He received his B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
This is his first experience in Russia. As a Fulbright grantee, he will teach at the Moscow Higher School of Economics.
