Alexander Romashov

Dear visitors of the Fulbright program web-site, my name is Alexander Romashov, 23 years old, Chelyabinsk, Russia. In 2001 I graduated with distinction form Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University with major Teacher of History, Social-Economic Disciplines and Art Studies. The theme of my diploma research was “W. J. Clinton’s Presidency and Contemporary Social Policy of the United States”. After that I entered graduate studies with specialization on World History at the Chair of History of Foreign Countries of Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University. At present my dissertation focuses on William Clinton and his political (and, of course, personal) history. So, the title of my dissertation is “William J. Clinton: Overcoming the Crisis of Democrats Presidency”. I feel myself very fortunate to be affiliated as a visiting researcher with such a prominent scientific center as Catholic University of America and its Department of Politics. I am sure that this unique opportunity will greatly enhance my research and teaching activities and, even more important, provide another step toward international understanding.
