  • On Friday, November 20, 2009 at 19:00, the Journalism Department at MSU (9 Mokhovaya street) will host a discussion led by the Russian Fulbright Alumni Association titled “Russian Scholars and the Globalization of Scientific Culture”

  • On Monday, November 23, at 18:00-19:30 Sasha Steinberg, US Fulbright Fellow, will present at the American Center in Moscow. His lecture is titled, "Lost In Translation: The Theory and Practice of Experimental Translation"

  • On Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 18:00 in the Pushkin Hall (Pushkinskaya Gostinaya-room 970), the Department of Philology at MSU, welcomes the Rector of Yekaterinburg Academy of Modern Art, Doctor of Philology, Professor Sergey Leonidovich Kropotov to speak at their methodology seminar. The theme of Dr. Kropotov’s speech is: Cultural memory and text: Ipatev House of as a place of memory.

  • Small Grants for Russian Fulbright Alumni, 2009 The Fulbright Program in Russia is pleased to announce a small-grants competition that is open to all Russian alumni of the program. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis but must be submitted by September 1, 2009.

  • INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE -“American Cultural Myths and Perspectives on the USA Literary Perception”, dedicated to the memory of Professor Alexei Zverev, will take place on October 20-21, 2009 in the Institute of Philology and History at the Russian State University for the Humanities.   • Fulbright Director, Anthony Koliha, participated in a round-table discussion in St. Petersburg on May 20, 2009 titled "Activity of the Fulbright Program: Public Diplomacy in Practice". The event was organized by the International Relations Department at Saint Petersburg State University in conjunction with their XVIII Russian-American seminar. After the discussion Mr. Koliha was interviewed by Anna Plotnikova of Voice of America about the Fulbright Program.

  • Moscow State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, and Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences will host a symposium titled The Adventures of Edgar Allan Poe Through Time and Cultures in Moscow April 24-25.
