Document Checklist

IN CASE OF AN ONLINE APPLICATION YOU MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING in English only:

  1. APPLICATION FORM;
  2. PROJECT SUMMARY;
  3. DETAILED PROJECT;
  4. DETAILED CURRICULUM VITAE WITH A LIST OF PUBLICATIONS ATTACHED;
  5. THREE REFERENCES;
  6. LETTER OF INVITATION, IF APPLICABLE.

THE PARTS OF THE APPLICATION IN RUSSIAN THAT CANNOT BE ENTERED INTO THE ONLINE SYSTEM (project summary and detailed proposal; CV and publication list; letters of recommendation; invitation) as well as APPLICATION COVER SHEET (without a photo) should be submitted to the Moscow Fulbright Office via email as Word documents.

IN CASE OF A WORD DOCUMENT APPLICATION SENT VIA EMAIL YOU MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

  1. APPLICATION FORM (in English);
  2. APPLICATION COVER SHEET (in English);
  3. PROJECT SUMMARY (in English and in Russian);
  4. DETAILED PROJECT (in English and in Russian);
  5. DETAILED CURRICULUM VITAE WITH A LIST OF PUBLICATIONS ATTACHED (in English and in Russian);
  6. THREE REFERENCES (in English and in Russian);
  7. LETTER OF INVITATION, IF APPLICABLE (in English and in Russian).

For Online and Word Document applications pages with a photo or a signature must be sent to the Moscow Fulbright Office via regular mail as hard copies:

  1. Reference Report Forms (forms completed in English should be signed);
  2. Recommendation Letters;
  3. An invitation from a university;
  4. English Language Test Results, if available.

IN CASE OF A PRINTED (HARD COPY) APPLICATION SENT VIA REGULAR POST YOU MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

  1. APPLICATION FORM (in English);
  2. APPLICATION COVER SHEET (in English);
  3. PROJECT SUMMARY (in English and in Russian);
  4. DETAILED PROJECT (in English and in Russian);
  5. DETAILED CURRICULUM VITAE WITH A LIST OF PUBLICATIONS ATTACHED (in English and in Russian);
  6. THREE REFERENCES (in English and in Russian);
  7. LETTER OF INVITATION, IF APPLICABLE (in English and in Russian).

TO ENSURE CORRECT COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION, READ CAREFULLY THE DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THESE GUIDELINES.

All items apart from the application cover sheet and the application form must be in English and in Russian. The application form and the application cover sheet must be in English.

Do not staple the printed pages.

The entire application must be typed or computer-generated. Use 10-point or larger type on all parts of the application. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.

Responses to questions on the four-page application must fit on the pages on which the questions originally appear. Do not attach additional pages to answer these questions.

Using an electronic version of the application, do not change the format of the forms, the pagination, the fonts or the type size.

Proofread the entire application before submitting it to your local Fulbright organization. The application should be free of grammatical and spelling errors.

Treat the application as a unitary whole, with all parts reinforcing the project statement.

The flow should be orderly: your capabilities should be listed in the application, further documented in the curriculum vitae and confirmed in the references. Use the project statement to make the parts interact by referring to items in the curriculum vitae or research bibliography. Without being redundant or simplistic, you should make it easier for the reviewer to find the key pieces of information you wish to convey.
