I come from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). After finishing school I entered the State Polar Academy in St. Petersburg and graduated from it in 2000 with a degree in State and Municipal Management. Then I became a postgraduate student at Herzen State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg. My academic interests concern housing issues and urban policy.
Last fall I applied for a Fulbright grant, then later passed an interview and took two exams (GRE and TOEFL) and early this summer I was notified that I had been admitted to a Master of Science degree program in Urban Policy Studies at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. I am sure this challenging time that I will spend at an American university will bring me much useful experience both professionally and in terms of widening my viewpoint on the world. And to those who decide to apply to the Fulbright Program, I wish you good luck!
