Sphere of the research interests: The Golden Horde antiquities of the Volga region. Low Volga region. City Ukek and its periphery. Archaeology, Numismatics, History.
In 2000 I received the research scholarship of the Presidium of Russian Academy of Sciences for the young scholars for 2000-2003.
I participated in Russian research grant projects of International Science Foundation (Soros Foundation), Russian Humanity Research Foundation, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, National Geographic Society (USA) and Federal Program ‘Universities of Russia’.
I was on probations in Great Britain (1996/1997) and USA (2000).
I have published 60 research works, including 2 monographs:
