My family and I live in Albany, New York. I completed my undergraduate studies at Wellesley College and Oxford University, having written a thesis on the topic of Russian and US foreign policies toward Iran. As a Master’s student at Harvard University, I examined the first post-Soviet generation of Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians. The Fulbright Fellowship will support my in-depth study of the first post-Soviet generation of Russian foreign policy elite at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
My fascination in the political realities of former Soviet states stems from interest in how change comes about in long-standing political arrangements and foreign policy. Having lived the first decade of my life in Soviet Belarus and witnessed its period of interregnum, I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to serve as a representative of the United States to the world. And I aspire to continue to do so.
